Tapia and Coello survive a third set in London

Fernández Sánchez and Calvo Santamaría beat the No. 1 pair for the women's title.

Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello won the men's title at the London P1 in Great Britain, beating Federico Chingotto and Alejandro Galán 6-3, 5-7, 7-5 on 9 August. Claudia Fernández Sánchez and Martina Calvo Santamaría won the women's title, beating Gemma Triay Pons and Delfina Brea Senesi 7-5, 6-3. The Premier Padel P1 ran from 2 August to 9 August.

Men

Tapia and Coello, both ranked No. 1, took the opening set 6-3. Chingotto and Galán, both ranked No. 3, answered 7-5 in the second. The third went to 7-5 for the champions.

Tapia and Coello opened in the round of 32 with a 6-2, 6-4 win, then beat José Jiménez Casas and Alejandro Arroyo 7-6, 6-4 in the round of 16, Mariano Agustín González San Martín and Francisco Cabeza Terés 6-1, 6-2 in the quarter-finals and Martín Di Nenno and Francisco Navarro 6-3, 6-2 in the semi-finals. They dropped 1 set in 5 matches, with 1 three-set match.

Chingotto and Galán reached the final with a 6-1, 6-0 quarter-final win and a 7-6, 6-3 semi-final against Leandro Augsburger and Juan Lebrón.

The London P1 was the 8th Premier Padel title of the season for Tapia and Coello.

Women

Fernández Sánchez, ranked No. 6, and Calvo Santamaría, ranked No. 8, beat Triay Pons and Brea Senesi, both ranked No. 1, 7-5, 6-3. The result was an upset on ranking.

The champions beat Alix Collombon and Ksenia Sharifova 6-1, 6-2 in the round of 16, Tamara Icardo Alcorisa and Claudia Jensen 6-3, 6-4 in the quarter-finals and Paula Josemaría Martín and Beatriz González Fernández 6-2, 6-4 in the semi-finals. They dropped 0 sets in 4 matches and played 0 three-set matches.

Triay Pons and Brea Senesi arrived in the final after a 7-5, 4-6, 6-1 quarter-final against Marta Ortega Gallego and Sofía Araujo and a 7-6, 5-7, 6-3 semi-final against Ariana Sánchez Fallada and Andrea Ustero Prieto.

In the round of 16, Marta Talaván, ranked No. 35, and Jessica Castelló López, ranked No. 30, beat Marina Guinart España, ranked No. 15, and Alejandra Alonso De Villa, ranked No. 13, 7-5, 6-1.

It was the 1st Premier Padel title of the season for Fernández Sánchez and Calvo Santamaría.
