Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto won the men's title at the Pretoria P1 in South Africa, beating Javier Leal and Francisco Guerrero 6-2, 5-7, 7-6. Gemma Triay Pons and Delfina Brea Senesi took the women's title, beating Claudia Fernández Sánchez and Martina Calvo Santamaría 6-2, 6-7, 7-6. The Premier Padel event ran from 26 July to 2 August.
Men
Galán and Chingotto, both ranked No. 3, took the first set 6-2. Leal, ranked No. 15, and Guerrero, ranked No. 13, levelled the final at 5-7. The third set went to a tie-break and Galán and Chingotto closed it 7-6.
The champions opened with a 6-2, 7-6 win over Juan Ignacio Rubini and Maximiliano Sánchez, beat Javier Garrido and Lucas Bergamini 6-3, 7-5 in the round of 16 and needed three sets against Juan Tello and Maximiliano Arce Simo, 6-3, 1-6, 6-2, before a 7-5, 6-4 semi-final against Juanlu Esbrí and Gutiérrez.
Leal and Guerrero arrived in the final after beating Leandro Augsburger and Juan Lebrón 6-7, 7-5, 7-6 in the quarter-finals and Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello, both ranked No. 1, 7-5, 7-5 in the semi-finals.
The round of 16 also produced two results against the order of the draw: García and Ruiz beat Martín Di Nenno and Francisco Navarro 6-7, 6-4, 6-3, and Tello and Arce Simo beat González and Lucas Campagnolo 6-4, 6-3. It was the sixth Premier Padel title of the season for Galán and Chingotto.
Women
Triay Pons and Brea Senesi, both ranked No. 1, won the first set 6-2 and lost the second 6-7. The third also went to a tie-break, and the pair took it 7-6 against Fernández Sánchez, ranked No. 6, and Calvo Santamaría, ranked No. 8.
Triay Pons and Brea Senesi beat Giulia Dal Pozzo and Nuria Rodríguez 6-3, 6-3 in the round of 16, then Tamara Icardo Alcorisa and Claudia Jensen 7-6, 6-4, and closed the semi-finals against Alejandra Salazar Bengoechea and Aranzazu Osoro Ulrich 6-2, 6-1.
Fernández Sánchez and Calvo Santamaría reached the final by beating Marta Barrera De La Fuente and Jana Montes Cabruja 6-1, 6-4 and then Beatriz González Fernández, ranked No. 4, and Paula Josemaría Martín, ranked No. 5, 6-1, 6-4.
Barrera De La Fuente and Montes Cabruja had come through the round of 16 against Lorena Rufo Ortiz and Victoria Iglesias Segador 6-4, 6-2, and Salazar Bengoechea and Osoro Ulrich beat Sofía Araújo and Marta Ortega Gallego 7-6, 6-2 in the quarter-finals. Pretoria was the fifth Premier Padel title of the season for Triay Pons and Brea Senesi.
